Hidden Threads of Blue is a space where art, dialogue, and collective care come together.
Expanding her personal practice into the public space, Hidden Threads of Blue is a project that delves into the therapeutic potential of art and design through a hybrid of digital and hands-on methods. Using the language of blue, threads and the cyanotype printmaking process, artist Merissa Tee was able to bridge the silenced stories of mental struggles into a collective expression of empathy and resilience.
Our online portal and its interactive survey received more than 100 entries organically over the span of 6 months. These insights informed how we curated the exhibition, shaping it into an interactive space where visitors were not merely spectators but active participants in reflection, making, and conversation.
This exhibition was held 29 October 2025 to 12 November 2025, Fashion Gallery, NAFA.
This Collab Lab Grant project (TLC, NAFA) was led by grantee Merissa Tee and her team of fellow lecturers and students from University Of The Arts Singapore.
